I think each area in the world is getting hit with a gradual change that will equate to a global collapse.

Most societies fall eventually, there's always enough neighbors around them to swoop in and pick up the slack. Even if it's a super power that collapses, those around them might do it tough for a while but they'll pull through. There will be a period where the fallen nation is either carved up by those around it or the survivors will start over on a much more local basis. Look at all the empires that've come and gone over the centuries, the sun literally never set on the British Empire at once stage and now look at it.
Unless there's some kinda of attack or event where every nation is hit at exactly the same time, I'm sure humanity could bounce back from almost anything. We're a fairly adaptable lot.

Agreed,I wonder how long till there is a united Earth government though. A Earth without war would be great.

Sorry ahead of the time for the rant: I am steaming pissed. I had to run out to the store to get some milk, bread and peanut butter. So, of course I think every piece of trash in the local area was at the store and there were only 3 checkout lanes open. So, we waited, waited and waited. I finally walked around to see why the line was not moving. It was 2 women with what I counted to be 6 kids running around them yelling at the cashier about why none of their 3 EBT cards would not work. We changed lanes and finally got out of the store, but how have we let our country get in such bad shape? Where people get mad at not getting free food? I am not a young person and have not had my head stuck in the sand but, what is going on that everything is falling apart like this? I can not wait for the collapse of civilization so that people like that will die or start taking care of themselves. I hate people like that always standing around with their hand out.

It's part of the new millennial mentality. Sad fact is that my generation is very conflicted as well as having no general path towards progress. We see the world as staying the same, instead of constantly changing with regional ramifications being internationally important. China and Russia are both rearming and revamping their militarizes, the US has fallen into the trap of political correctness and congressional-industirial-military complex. All this as our country is LITERALLY crumbling and decaying from the inside. What if whats going on in poorer Native American reservations(extreme rates of alcoholism, rape, and suicide)that are little more than third world hovels here in the US. Then there is the rampant homelessness which here in California is extremely evident. Alongside many other factors that WILL come to a head in my first 50 years of life, will change humanity. For the better or worse I can not say, fools predict the future with broad nets to catch anything they can. It's is best to plan for everything, and give our species cause and unity.
