Well we can make more money by putting up wind mills and solar energy generators.

Wow it's really gotten bad out there. I looked into selling security products there like pepper spray and mace for a time, but it's illegal for people to own those things. The best they can do is own what amounts to a small whistle, which is about effective as a mall cop yelling "Stop". I did not know they were worse than South Africa. That's pretty bad.
Just goes to show that the gun control people are wrong. The funny thing is that people like Billy Clinton will use crime and the fear of crime in order to chip away at our liberties. That's the real reason they want to ban all guns. Without ways to protect ourselves, we have to rely on them more rather than ourselves. Which is just slavery by another name.

Solar power has become one of those "nonsense" words like "hope" and "change" and "green jobs will save the economy". Those things are relatively new, but that doesn't make them a good idea. Do you know how much it costs to by the raw parts you need to set up a solar farm? Do you know who to contact in the electrical industry in order to sell them your power? Do you know how to get the government credits you'll need to make solar power affordable? When those credits go away, will you make enough in sales to cover the rest of the maintenance and upkeep such a farm will require?
A better idea is to research tried and true methods of making money. The good news is that the Internet is making it easier and easier for regular joes to make money. Personally, I'm looking hard at import/export. One of the things we need to do in the US is unload all of our distressed merchandise and what better place to unload that stuff than China and India. With their rising middle classes, they're hungry for stuff we no longer buy here.

Maybe, but I plan to "loan" land to major corporations and have them worry about all that(if they take the bait). Windmills on a small scale would work pretty good, besides if anything my property will end up being a 0 energy property.

before you shoot down the solar power idea you should know my grandparents make money off a solar panel on the roof of our beach house and its more than paid itself off. as for the ass hat gun control people i think saying they wish to make us slaves is a little over the top even though i agree its incredibly stupid to think more gun laws will make us safer. they dont want to make us slaves i think they just dont live in reality and think gun laws written on paper will make a magic barrier to protect us. if anyone breaks into my house with an illegal AK-47 ill be sure to let them know they cant hurt me because that gun isnt legal.

That seems to be how liberals work. They wish to enforce their will just as much as conservatives, it's just that means they are taking rights away from people and turning them into sheeple.

Now, many people consider me to be a gun nut cause I've owned so many and I'm infantry so I'm surrounded by a myriad of weapons every day. The truth be told, I believe all Americans have the right to bare arms, have the right to defend themselves, their loved ones and their property, but, I don't believe that citizens should be allowed to own assault rifles, belt fed machineguns and tanks, its alittle much. Personally I think as soon as you come of age you should be given a 12g pump shotgun for home defense and you can start your education with firearms through mandated classes. If only some of you knew the bulls@#t laws in place that actually prevent or deter you from defending yourselves you would be shocked.

i know that one of the laws is that if you kill someone from farther away than 7 yards i think then its illegal and youll be charged with murder whether you were defending yourself or not. i think people should be allowed to own assault rifles as long as they arent automatic. belt feds too.

the brits have democracy already. the monarch is only a figure head. so if they want to change their gun laws they need to bring it up and vote for it.

If only some of you knew the bulls@#t laws in place that actually prevent or deter you from defending yourselves you would be shocked. Let's be realistic. Most people aren't going to own machine guns, tanks and other heavy weapons. Why not? Upkeep. It costs a lot to keep an Abrams running, not to mention fuel, ordnance and maintenance. Without that all you have is a very expensive paperweight. What about millionaires? They could own and keep up that stuff. Sure they could. But money makes money and things like tanks and heavy weapons cost money, they don't make money unless you're an arms dealer. Can you imagine the looks some guy would get on, say, Star Island if they had the equivalent of a rifle platoon in their front yard? Security companies handle security for rich people, not active military forces. No, the only reason to have the right to bear arms is to keep the government off your back. The reason to take them away is twofold. One, you can't defend yourself against either the government or criminals. Two, because you can't defend yourself, you must rely on "official" security which increases the power of the state over your life. Before too long, you're a slave in your own country. Don't expect democracy to save you. Our founders knew that democracy would soon devolve into mob rule and violence. Look at Wisconsin. As government unions feel the pinch, they'll become more and more violent. By utilizing violence, they hope to intimidate their opponents into granting concessions. Not much difference between those tactics and the ones the Mob uses.

I'd use communist and fascist to differentiate the two. Conservatives are not necessarily fascist and liberals are not necessarily communist. The thing that unites the fascists and communists is the belief that someone or something must control the economy. Problem is that whoever controls the economy becomes corrupt and uses their power to benefit themselves and their friends, while the rest of us are left holding the bag. Kinda sound like too big to fail doesn't it?

Actually, there are hundreds of tanks owned by civilians in the U.S., not typically abrams mind you usually APCs past and present and tanks from WWII, the Korean war and Vietnam. even more machine guns are owned, it's not really that expensive, I can buy a tank for 10,000 but I would have to rebuild it's main armament as it is demilled and non functioning and if you are half knowledgable about mechanics upkeep is easy. Buying a machine gun costs as much or even more then tanks, it depends on the weapon system. Check in on some of the militias up north in the ozarks like New America, they even have jets and it is all civilians, nearly all are prior service military.
