Who or what i am is ultimately about content, not names or claims. Hence i will present what i'm about (and not about).

Based on years of research and considerations on said research, i believe it's a very real possibility that this 'civilization' will come to it's end in December this year at the latest. I say "at the lastest" because of developments at the Sun and Fukushima that both have the potential to disrupt global conditions drastically. However, the worst may come 21st of December.

Our genes go back millions of years and if intelligence just pops into existence after a few thousand years of 'evolution', then in the course of the Earth's history it stands to reason that MANY intelligent species would have evolved. The reason why our history only goes back a meagre few thousand years has to do with the 13,000 year cosmological cycle of destruction that MANY disciplines of research point to independently. Therefore, it's plausible that mankind is in for yet another cycle of cosmological destruction, throwing mankind back into the stone age yet again. That is, unless i have anything to say about the matter...

I am preparing for COMPLETE AND UTTER DESTRUCTION. I'll be frank: people who 'prepare' for a limited catastrophe are on a completely different page than i am. We share almost no interests because they all basically rely on mankind crawling it's way back to civilization after a few years or decades. I believe that if we don't prepare properly today, we face more MILLENNIA of hard times, just like OUR ancestors had to go through because THEIR ancestors didn't take the destruction THEY faced seriously enough.
There are something like 3300 ancient pyramids and such artifacts that point to a global civilization with technological means beyond our own. They too, however, were thrown into a stone age. Our stone age...
I'm interested in joining forces with people who intend to approach the matter of 2012 TEOTWAWKI from this point of view.

May I mention that I have as well served in the Armed Services. Mostly on board the USS Coral Sea CV43, homeported in Alameda, CA. This was an aircraft carrier, of 4,500 souls at times, & so for months out at sea, it was like a floating city completely isolated from the rest of mankind. For weeks & weeks on end, there is nothing but the thin line of the horizon for 360 degrees!
And so, I was wondering if someone wanted to pick my brain for how it was living on / in a 'floating city".

Hello, my name is Simon.

I've been a writer and artist for quite some time, doing a number of different short-term

projects for a number of different companies, ranging from gaming to graphic novels,

mechanical drawing, topographical map details, short stories, ghost writing, etc.

Within the past few months, I found a home with a small publisher called Arcanum Syndicate.

To date, they have put out two seperate game lines, both the fantasy-style Dark Kingdoms,

and the gritty futuristic Chaos 6010 A.D. The Chaos 6010 A.D. Role Playing Game is a gritty

cyber-goth horror setting focused on a dark future in which magic has been rediscovered

through the assistance of alien races, Earth has been rendered into a wasteland of horrors by

an apocalyptic event, and corporations secretly control the galaxy. I currently work on the

Chaos 6010 line, having provided the bulk of the writing and artwork for a singular product to

date (Chaos Contracts; Tides of Sin), and I have a few other projects currently in various

stages of completion.

I have always had a fondness for both science fiction elements, and fantasy. Many times I

would begin my own works based in either genre, only to get about halfway through it and

long to work in the other genre. Thankfully, the combination found within Chaos 6010 allows

me to combine elements of both, from faster-than light spacecraft to demon summoning, from

plasma sword fights on alien worlds to shooting elves in the face.

The artwork that we design comes from a number of sources, from photomanipulation of

existing source material to hand drawn images and even technical design using CAD

programs. Often we will get a handful of models, gather and create costumes and props, and

take a number of pictures, for later use in our products. Most of the models we meet through

our normal daily routines, while others have requested to work with us.

Not only are we working on a number of sourcebooks and modules for the Chaos line, we're also looking to release a 28mm line of miniatures for use with our setting, including vehicles. We looked over the current offerings on the market, and felt that certain elements were lacking, namely a decent source of customizable vehicles and elements to add to those vehicles. As of this writing, we are currently designing a number of vehicles with modular parts and accessories, using CAD software, which will later be offered as a "print on demand" system with a 3d printer company. Of course, one of our goals with the miniatures is to have them available at a rational price.

Of course, I'm always looking to meet new people, and willing to talk about things.

I registered a while ago, but I've yet to post until now. Not really sure why. Life tends to get in the way like that.

I know King of the Wastes from the PAF, and he told me to come by and say hello, so here I am!

Long story short - I'm also in the military. US Army, active duty. But by night, I'm a musician. I play guitar, drums, a little bit of keys, and I'm always dabbling in the arts of recording and production. I've been in many metal bands and projects over the years. Metal of all types is my thing. And of course, I have a unhealthy, almost morbid obsession with anything post-apocalyptic.

Right now, my main project is Algarothsyum, my solo instrumental metal project. It's a soundtrack of the wastelands... instrumental atmospheric metal. I released a 5-track demo back in 2011 called "Spiraling to Realization", and a full-length album a few months ago, called "Wastelander's Epoch". My other projects I'm involved in are Apokalypsos, an indie post-apocalyptic MMO game in development, and a metal project with a friend called Astral Throne.

So yes, music is my passion! And of course I'm a huge fan of post-apoc, and survivalism in general.

Hi all, Dazbobaby is the name and learning about survival is my game.

I'm currently unemployed, and basically surf the net, play games and generally keep my house clean and tidy all day... every day

I really am keen on survival, but I haven't a clue how to survive, when tshtf I'm as clueless as anyone else, but hopefully thanks to sites like this and instructables, I might have a chance to save myself and a few others.

Hey King! what happened to the PA Media Forum?

I am interested in PA stuff, hand-to -hand training, physical fitness, nutrition, hiking, camping, fishing, target shooting, and am a leather smith, metal smith and make chain mail for fun since people don't seem to like to buy it for what it's worth typically lol. Working on some anti-zombie armor too. I am an artist getting back into the groove after a few years, so I'm rusty as hell. Been drawing a bit the last few weeks though.

I listen to: Porn Funk, Dubstep, rock, metal, some 80s stuff, industrial, ambient, 70s music and classical

I developed a tabletop game that we called Wasteland that was built off the very accurate Milleniums End rules set a few years back, while adapting it to a mix of the Fallout universe, with influence from: Robocop, aliens, terminator, Ronin, a boy and his dog, etc. Ran it for a while then most of the players wanted to play LARP instead lol.

I am interested in playing some pc post apoc MMORPGs that are FPS, I like:
Fallout, Xcom, X rebirth, Call of Duty, Civ 5, and Borderlands is not bad.
I might purchase these: Day Z, War Z, STALKER ONLINE, and similar titles.

Right now I am between games, but am very interested in joining a guild/clan of cool people for Day Z or something. I am a great shot, know tactics and am a former Clan MP

My background is industry with some mech eng, process optimization and inventory analysis, and am working currently on getting my CPIM.
