Hi, all. I love PA films and lived on a hippie commune for a couple years with that PA scenario in mind. I know how to do a lot of subsistence living things such as home canning, animal raising and butchering etc.
I joined this forum in hopes of picking the experiential or imaginative brains of those much more knowledgable in war and the military than I. I have in mind a novel that requires knowledge in these area. Weaponry, global war, its effects etc. This will be the preamble for the novel and the rest will be set in its aftermath. I have not written on this subject matter, so I see a lot of research ahead of me. I thought this might be a good avenue to either provide the information or point me to some sources. Glad to be in the forum.

When is the Apocalypse? Signs point to it being well underway. In fact, it could be a few hundred years old right now, and we wouldn't even know it. Our understanding of the Universe has increased at a breakneck pace since an apple fell on Isaac Newton's head in 1666. From that Edenesque story, physics has begun to finally understand the inner secrets of the cosmos. In the last 100 years, our literary works have been heavily influenced by an external influence. Hidden surrounding the works of some of the most seminal authors of our time lies a secret message: It's coming. This secret code continues to manifest throughout the most pivotal moments in the last seventy years. An obvious connection is made, linking together in broad daylight what will eventually become the penultimate conspiracy. The Illuminati. Hello, My name is Patrick W. Marsh, and I'm a writer from the twin cities. I've been writing this apocalyptic blog for about a year now, and I've been looking for a place where similiar howls like mine might be dwelling. I'm a big fan of this genre, and the creative inclination of our culture in its production of it. The genre use to be sort of an atypical setting in the 60's to earlier 2000's, but with the popularity of Shaun of the Dead reigniting the zombie crazy, and the expansion of apocalyptic literature, this has become the favorite setting of modern storytellers of all mediums. I'm a big fan of this stuff and how people tell stories within the genre. Please check out my blog, and rest assured I'll be drinking up all your stories. Thank you for having me here, and for establishing this forum. Patrick W. Marsh greenlanddiary.blogspot.com/ My Blog

Hi there, I'm a freelance artist and I'm working on an indie video game (cyberpunk/post-apo), called Ama's Lullaby, with a small team of french guys Fallout was my first contact with PA atmospheres...not really surprising, isn't it ? I'll create a thread about my project in the "videos games" forum.

Hey, Ladies and Gents! My name is Tom Vaughan and I am the Executive Producer of a show called CHANNEL ZERO -- a show about the remains of humanity struggling to survive after the apocalypse... and to produce quality television entertainment! It's kind of a cross between 30 Rock and Fallout. We're a team of comedy professionals that stem from the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre here in Los Angeles. Right now we're in our Kickstarter campaign before going into production late this summer. If you want to visit our Kickstarter page you can do that here: j.mp/chzerotvBut really, the fun stuff is on the Youtube channel here: bit.ly/cztubeWe all love the post-apocalyptic genre, but I am kind of embarrassed to say that I was not aware there was such a large presence on the net about it! So many discussions, so many communities. I am looking forward to being more a part of it. Thanks for taking the time to read this. (And we really do think you'll enjoy those videos!)

Hello
New forum member here. I am an author and just released my first post-apocalyptic/dystopian story as an ebook. I have written 5 manuscripts this year most in the dystopian genre. T.E.U. is the first I have released. I have a channel over on youtube under joseph farr and a few promo vids about my first book T.E.U. Figured I would introduce myself say hello. I hope the members on here enjoy my stories. I am interested to hear from folks what they like don't like, want to see as far as new novels in the post-apocalyptic/dystopian genre. I tend to write more of the realistic side of life post event. What it would take and cost my characters to survive. Anyway just wanted to say hello.
