The AR-7 is a take down survival rifle that was originally made for downed pilots as survival rifles. The rifle comes apart and everything can be stored inside the rifle stock. I personally think that this would be a perfect survival rifle.

Another side note is that this weapon floats, a .22 caliber rifle is a good survival rifle but the ar-7 has gone up dramatically is price in recent years due to the scare of calamity, your best bet for a .22 rifle is actually a rifle with a choke tube, internal magazine or single shot rifle as it isnt as reliant on a magazine. After all the rifle is for hunting not for direct fire engagements and ultimately any magazine fed weapon can become a single shot weapon if you loose all your mags. Due to the cost of .22 caliber rifles, you could just buy an air rifle at the same or less money and the same lethality towards small game. Plus you don't have to register it, you can carry more ammo and it is alot quieter but a bit heavier unless you buy a .22 with a wood stock then they would essentially weigh the same.

Yes forgot that, I think its a great little rifle and if you put it in you pack its small enough won't really be noticed to. I plan to get this one talon air rifle that is supposed to be the best air rifle out there.

Remember there is no need to spend alot of money, you can get a powerful air rifle for $100, there are some air rifles out there that cost more then hunting rifles. Also, air rifles aren't as accurate as real rifles when firing pellets because they don't have rifled barrels, they are pretty accurate with BBs though but pellets are more lethal to small game and penetrate deeper.

I have a air rifle, I want to get a good one that I can use .117 and .22 rounds. Would be nice to have. Also I think some air rifles have rifling, mine looks like it does.
