I liked it because you could play with any team you wanted. I didnt like it because you had to kill BoS every time

You can keep them alive if you side with the NCR if you don't out the original Elder. You can also keep them alive if you decide to rule Vegas for yourself. I feel like there wasn't enough power armor's in the game, or assault rifles. There really wasn't enough gun mods I feel and they said that there would be one for every weapon. I got my hopes up and they slapped me in the face. I still get freezes when I am playing, and that just piss's me off. I never had this sort of problem with Fallout 3. Least not this bad.

I liked F:NV better than F3. I'm totally satisfied with the story and content

I liked Fallout 3 more than New Vegas myself like I said, not satisfied. They promised things they didn't do, and made things seem bigger and better than it turned out to be.

The All American was supposed to be fully automatic. There was supposed to be a mod for every weapon. Things I keep repeating.

I would have to mostly agree with KOW, but FNV did have some things that I enjoyed very much such as ammo having weight and having to eat food, sleep and drink water and that there were more things in the wild to harvest like in Oblivion and the ability to combine things, the ability to break down and make new rounds but that seemed very limited cause I got the perk that unlocked it all for me and I still wasn't able to do a whole lot. I did like some of the perks from fallout 1 and 2. My biggest complaints are that events were to dependant on following paths to exact in order to complete quests where as in FO3 you could complete storylines just like in Oblivion just by exploring the landscape and the area denial via an invisible barrier pissed me off as there was alot of map you were unable to explore and of course the great number of glitches and crashes. If they combined those positive aspects I mentioned of FNV with the game play and hidden/random item encounters of FO3 into the next installment (FO4) it would be the perfect post apocalyptic game, for awhile anyways, hell I still play FO3 and I keep finding stuff, that and the slightly humorous feel of FO3 is more inline with the original fallout games, New Vegas seems to have lost that aspect which is wierd seeing as how the crew is part of the original team that worked on the first games.

Basically the way I feel 72, I like New Vegas but it isn't Fallout 3 by any means. I hope that Fallout 4 is able to use the new game engine that Bethesda has to its limits while adding to the overall gameplay that has already been put up by past Fallout games. I would like to see it have a more mature feel to it really myself, just seems like they don't really want to go near that sort of stuff though. I would also like to have another mode of transportation in the game other than fast travel and walking, as well as a map that is more difficult to navigate. Skyrim looks like it will have a environment like what I am trying to say, with lots of mountains and amazing terrain.

Am I the only one who thought F3 was Oblivion with plasma weapons? F:NV was OK, I guess, but too short to be treated like a stand-alone game. The limited play area was a bit of a bummer. So much so that I really didn't bother to finish the game.

I snicker at people thinking F3 was better then F:NV. Sure, F3 had a more interesting landscape but that's about it.

I have to agree with Imp, FNV's landscape just seems to spartan and the game seems rushed, it didn't have that classic Fallout feel or humor about it like finding a dinosaur skeleton in the water of point lookout or the skeleton with ciderblocks for feet at the bottom of a lake in the wastes just to name 2 of hundreds of instances. But yeah it was Oblivion with plasma rifles, and being a fan or morrowind I could see the similarities early on.

Hell I don't remember but I think it is near a destroyed overpass cause there is a car next to the skeleton and there is some goodies in the trunk of the car. Its more like a pond I believe or it is near the dock where some bandits are over by the police station, church and drive-in I think.

The skeleton is just outside of Arefu. When you're standing at the top of the bridge, you should be looking down at the water. Jump in and go towards the dock. You'll see the guy "sleeping with the mirelurks"
