Well I have to say that his is by far my favorite tv show of all time. Jericho is a town in Kansas in late september of 2006 when a mushroom cloud appears over what appears to be Denver. The town has to survive through the ensuring course of events that will radically change their way of life and the course of the country. Sadly the show was cancelled after two seasons but a 3rd season is available in form of a graphic novel and a 4th season is soon to be released in the same format.

I heard that there was going to be a movie. I was hoping SciFi would take over the show, but it looks like all they did was buy the rights to air it.

It would be great if they did same more seasons, I liked it a lot. I wanna get my hands of the graphic novel but all I have near me is a damn Barnes and Noble, and screw them. I want Borders back. D:
"The blogs are abuzz with news that first appeared on TVGuide.com that confirms that Netflix and CBS are in talks to possible revive Jericho as a Netflix-original program.
Of course the chances of it actually happening are slim, but fans of Arrested Development probably thought the same thing before Netflix came to their rescue by bringing that series back to life.
If the show does start up again, one interesting question would be if it would overwrite or negate the storyline continued in comics and billed as Season 3 and Season 4 of the show.
I've now read the first three issues of Season 3, and it's pretty interesting, but it definitely moves the action out of Jericho itself, and opens the story to much broader issues than just a small town in Kansas trying to survive after a disaster.
I'd watch it either way of course, and while my first thought would be that I'd like to see it revert back to small scale survival, it would also be cool to see more areas of the country and how they're coping, and to find out more about the conspiracy behind the bombings that started it all to begin with.
But in any case, keep your fingers crossed that Netflix and CBS can come to an agreement. And I'm only half-joking when I wonder if it would help if we sent Netflix some peanuts...? "
Found this as well.

I hear ya about the borders issue. I had one about 20 minutes from my house...yesterday had to drive 45 mins to get to a damn barnes and noble.
Anyway I kind of like what they did with the season 3 graphic novel because it answered alot of questions about how it broke down to what it did but I also liked season 1 alot..mainly because of the different survival stuff along with the fact that it had 23 episodes vs season 2's 6 episdoes. I actually say my favorite is Ravenwood. I am big into learning about private security firms and one day want to open one of my own however the show takes ravenwood and puts it into the what if light, which I love

I don't trust PMC's if I'm honest with ya, it's just as likely they'll get used in the US should anything happen. And the crazies like to join them, the ones that got kicked out of the military for bad shit and stuff like that.

Most ones that I have been reading up on, at least until Iraq in 03 onwords, were hard to get into. Mostly ex-special forces types

They don't follow the same rules as militarizes though, their in it for the money. So basically all they listen to is the money, and if they get used in the US I don't see them being all hugs and kiss's.

Well it depends on what they are tasked with doing. If they are guarding refugee camps or helping law enforcement by embedding with them, I see that being able to be done well.
Years ago when I was in highschool I interned with a small PSC based in southern New Jersey. We did maritime and harbor security systems and training. I piloted a nice watercraft..forget the specific type sadly but we worked with Port Authority in Manhattan and then eventually did some contracts over-seas where we helped trained coast guard forces and set up security systems for large ports.

Idk, after that blackwater shit and watching Jericho the possibility of PMC's being used in the US scares me. Although I think some were used in Katrina.

Blackwater USA actually helped out during Katrina. If you look up the book "Blackwater: Rise of America's Private Army" it talks about how they offered helicopter support to evac people out of the area, and the PMC guys on the ground engaged gangs that were attacking people on the freeways.

I still wonder if they helped in illegally disarming legal gun owners.

Jericho was a decent show, but much like Serenity, it didn't last. I am glad that Walking Dead has a big following, I want it to stay on air, it keeps getting better every episode
