It's important to have at least a six month supply of food in case of an emergency. I've yet to start building my supply because I'm still a student (college), but after reviewing a number of You Tube Videos I thought it would be a good idea to post them here:

Spent 130 dollars at the store today, most expensive item was printer paper so I can finish an essay for ENG 102. Otherwise the rest was on canned food and the such. Most of the experation dates were 2014-2015 so that helps my home food stores

Ive recently learned to home can via a pressure cooker. I HIGHLY recommend this. only down fall is that its glass jars. So i would suggest storing them padded. But you can make almost anything and can it with the right pressure.

Sounds like you got a good haul smokey. Have you canned any meatloaf Jman? I hate the stuff but it apparently last's a while canned.

Also you guys can change your names so you can have capitols in your profile control panel. You can also change your name's to something else.

No havent tried that yet. ive canned Sloppy Joes, Beef Stew(interesting thing. use the veggies raw. the pressure cooker and reheating cooks them to PERFECTION) and some spaghetti sauce. some of it with Zucchini(same rule as the stew) But meatloaf sounds like a good next canning day...lol
And how do i become a not DEAD wastelander?...lol
And i went to profile. didnt see anything to do with changing names or a control panel. might be cause ur the admin?

You can try it, I don't eat the stuff anymore. I associate with the death of one of my dogs.
